    • Does munevo DRIVE work with eye movement?

      No, munevo DRIVE is a head control but it can be calibrated in a very sensitive way to also work with very little movement.


    • How does munevo DRIVE compare to conventional steering systems?

      Compared to conventional steering systems of wheelchairs, munevo offers additional possible uses. On account of the new software there are different features which can be used with slight head movements. Additionally to taking a picture and sharing it with friends, you can control a robotic arm with the smartglasses.

      The software is very intuitive to use and easy to update. Wearing the smartglasses has a big aesthetic advantage because it almost looks like common glasses.

      Another advantage is the adjustability to any kind of seating position. An easy calibration defines the initial position of each person. The glasses can easily be used on unpaved ground. If the glasses slip out of position or the seating position changes, usually does not affect the functionality of the glasses. And if it does, a new calibration can be conducted.


    • Are there any additional features for munevo DRIVE?

      Yes. In the case of an emergency, you can send a message and your location to a previously chosen person. With the smartglasses it is possible to take pictures which you can share with your friends and family. It is also possible to change your seating position. Additionally, you can control smart home systems, your computer, tablets and your smartphone.


    • Are the smartglasses comfortable to wear?

      The smartglasses have a weight of 42 g and are therefore very light and comfortable. If you want, you can try the glasses. Just contact us via info@munevo.com or +49 89 55064904


    • Can munevo DRIVE be connected to any power wheelchair?

      Yes, we only require the wheelchair specific input module (R-Net Omni or LiNX input module). It can be connected to wheelchairs from Sunrise Medical, SKS Rehab, Permobil, Dietz, Invacare, Pride and many more.


    • Are you bound to the wheelchair or can you also use munevo DRIVE outside of the wheelchair?

      Yes, you can use it without having to be in the wheelchair.


    • What if during the day, my head changes its position when I get tired?

      Then you can calibrate it again, in the position and way you feel comfortable at that time.


    • What if my head position is already tilted to one side. Can I still use munevo DRIVE?

      Yes definitely, you simply calibrate the glasses, holding your head and doing the movements, in a way you feel comfortable. The glasses will adapt itself to your needs and capabilities.


    • Can munevo DRIVE be used with people who have spasm/spasticity?

      To a certain degree. We have one user that has spasms always in the same way, direction and speed. Here we can filter it out. However, if the spasms are random for us as well as for chin or button control this is not possible. We are working on a solution for the future.

    • Is munevo DRIVE already available?

      Yes, you can buy the product since 2019. If you are interested just get in touch with us via one of our retailers or contact us directly.


    • Where can I buy munevo DRIVE?

      Normally, the buying-process is executed via the medical supply stores. If you are interested just contact us via info@munevo.com or +49 89 55064904 or one of our retailers.


    • How does the buying process via the retailers work?

      Get in touch with your own medical supply store, one of our retailers or directly with us. Together we can make an appointment for you to test the smartglasses. This appointment is nonbinding. If the product fits your expectations, the approval process with the health insurance starts and if that is successful you get full cost-coverage.



    • Is it possible to test munevo DRIVE?

      Of course! You can get in touch with us at any time. We have representatives throughout Germany and would be very happy to make an appointment.

    • How fast can people learn to drive with it?

      The driving itself is very intuitive and will be learned in a matter of minutes. Learning the menu in its entirety of course might take a bit longer but we will gladly support you in the process.


    • Can I (dis-) connect the smartglasses on my own?

      You can lock the glasses with a simple tilt of the head into the Stand-by mode. Tilting the head into the other direction the glasses are not locked anymore.


    • Do I need a constant internet connection?

      No, you can drive and change everything in the wheelchair without internet. If you need an update or want to send messages, you’d need an internet connection (WIFI or hotspot from smartphone).


    • Is it possible to use the munevo ARM with the same smartglasses?

      Yes, to utilize the roboter arm it is necessary to have the munevo DRIVE unit. munevo ARM is a so-called Add-On for the smartglasses.


    • Is it possible to switch from munevo DRIVE to munevo ARM without any help?

      Yes. While wearing the smartglasses you see a little menu with different features and by nodding the head left and right you can navigate through the menu and select the roboter arm.


    • Can I switch between another steering control and munevo DRIVE?

      Yes, we can program the wheelchair so that you can switch between both through the click of a button.


    • What if I want to look around and speak with people?

      You can just simply lock the glasses by tilting your head to the right for 3 seconds and then move your head freely. While driving, turning your head horizontally is still possible, only the tilt movement will turn the wheelchair.


    • How sensitive can you calibrate munevo DRIVE?

      You can calibrate within 1-2 cm but it depends on you and your head movement. The calibration takes 10-20 seconds and can be done by yourself.


    • How many times should I calibrate?

      That depends on you. Some people calibrate often because they change their seating position often. Others just calibrate in the morning after being transferred into the wheelchair. We recommend calibrating at least twice per month.

    • Do I need additional hardware for munevo DRIVE?

      No, the smartglasses are connected with a Hardware-Adapter, which is installed at the wheel chair. This adapter is part of a munevo DRIVE unit.


    • Does munevo DRIVE need a power connection?

      No, the smartglasses have a battery which lasts up to 8 hours depending on the usage.


    • How do I get new software?

      If you have subscribed to our newsletter you will get updated automatically about new features and general news. The process of updating your software is very easy and fast.

    • Are there any additional products?

      Products that can only be used together with munevo DRIVE are munevo HOME(an add-on to control your smart home system), munevo MONITOR(an add-on to duplicate the display of the smartglasses on a mobile device) and munevo PHONE (an add-on to control your mobile device).

      Another product is munevo ARM, a roboter arm that can be controlled with the glasses.

      Moreover, we offer a product called GlassOuse. This replaces a normal computer mouse and enables steering the mouse on computer-, mobile devices- and smart TV screens. Moreover, munevo DRIVE is an approved medical device and GlassOuse is not.


    • What is the difference between munevo DRIVE and GlassOuse?

      munevo DRIVE is a smartglasses application to control a wheelchair with the slightest movements of the head. On the contrast, GlassOuse replaces a normal computer mouse and enables steering the mouse on computer-, mobile devices- and smart TV screens with small head movements.
